Overview of the functions of the post
Description of Responsibilities:
Under the overall authority of the Director of the Beijing Cluster Office, and the direct supervision of the Programme Specialist for Culture, the incumbent shall provide communciation and reporting assistance of the Gansu Revitalization and Innovation Project (GRIP) (700CPR4000):
1.Take photographs and video footages during relevant activities and events, and produce edited photographs and videos for project and office visibility.
2.Assist in liaision with media, partners and government counterparts, and provide information on project activities such as training courses, seminars, meetings, new UNESCO publications and other materials.
3.Liaise closely with relevant colleauges to assit in preparation and translation of the project periodic reports, information sheets, brochures, breifings, speeches, PowerPoint presentations, WeChat articles, press releases, and other outreach and communication materials.
4.Assist in the organzation of promotional activities, forums, workshops, trainings, and exhibitions as planned under the Project and by the Section.
5.Undertake any other relevant duty as assigned by the Director and the immediate Supervisors.
Required qualifications
EDUCATION
·University degree, secondary, technical and/or vocational training closely related to media and communications.
WORK EXPERIENCE
·A minimum of 1 year of relevant job experience.
·Experience in the area of project management, coordination and implementation.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
·Proven competency in photography and videography, and professional photo and video editing software operation;
·Demonstrating/safeguarding ethics and integrity;
·Demonstrating corporate knowledge and sound judgment;
·Self-development, initiative-taking;
·Facilitating and encouraging open communication in the team, communicating effectively;

·Managing conflict;
·Capacity to work in a team as well as independently;

LANGUAGES
·Excellent knowledge of English and Mandarin (oral and written).
Benefits and entitlements
Benefits include: 2.5 days of leave per month, up to 15% of the basic salary for medical insurance and pension plan.
